Nefco offers loans backed by guarantees from the European Investment Fund (EIF) to facilitate financing for Nordic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), particularly for sustainable investments. The EIF guarantee, part of the InvestEU Programme, aims to support the green transition and enhance business competitiveness.
The EIF guarantee is subject to the eligibility criteria and Nefco’s investment evaluation process. The application process is streamlined so that clients interact solely with Nefco.

Criteria for the EIF guarantee
EIF guarantee from Nefco is targeted towards small and medium-sized companies in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.
Nefco assesses the company’s eligibility for an EIF guarantee based on the EIF eligibility criteria and Nefco’s own investment criteria, including environmental and sustainability criteria.
An EIF guarantee for a Nefco loan can be obtained for the following investments:
