Our programme at COP29
We welcome you to join our side events in connection to the 2024 UN Climate Change Conference COP29, which will be arranged in Baku, Azerbaijan from 11-22 November 2024. The events will bring together key climate and green finance actors and spark up discussion on accelerating the global green transition with Nordic solutions.
In Baku, Nefco events will be organised at the COP29 Venue, in the Nordic Pavilion, unless otherwise stated.

Responsible carbon finance can unlock new opportunities for commercial lending and other funding streams in the clean cooking sector, accelerating the scale-up of high-technology clean cooking solutions to strengthen climate resilience in Africa, achieving significant health outcomes and empowering women and girls.

16:00-16:45 (GMT+4) – Scaling up clean off-grid energy access – Over 2 million lives impacted so far in Sub-Saharan Africa
Results-based financing has effectively accelerated access to clean energy in rural areas and supported Africa’s green transition and technological innovation. What are the opportunities and challenges of scaling the off-grid sector in the future? The event will focus on impacts achieved so far and the best way to drive private sector growth.
