Co-creation of green recovery plans in Ivankiv

Background

As a part of Nefco’s Green Recovery Programme for Ukraine, a capacity development workshop will be conducted to co-create and elaborate Local Green Recovery Plans in three pilot cities: Khmelnytskyi, Novovolynsk and Ivankiv.

During the workshop it is planned to establish a dialogue with local stakeholders to better understand and prioritise the urgent needs and identify gaps for local green recovery plans in the city of Ivankiv.

The following sectors will be covered during the workshop:

  • urban planning
  • water and wastewater treatments
  • pollution hot spots, incl. war damages
  • waste management
  • energy
  • transport
  • residential and municipal buildings
  • biodiversity

Sustainability Dialogue Tool and Sustainability SWOT, modern methods, and tools for analysis, identifying and prioritize areas for green recovery will be used during the workshop.

The workshop will give an overview of:

  • Existing green recovery plans and programmes in Ukraine;
  • EU legislation, incl. EU Taxonomy, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), etc.;
  • Working circular with war damages and war waste;
  • Effective energy planning and energy balance in the times of war.
